"This work is a brave, poetic and necessary work. Ester Andújar has created an album that not only raises her own voice, but also that of those who cannot. Her jazz is not only music; it is narrative, memory and emotion. A must for those who love jazz and music with soul"

Inner Songs is Ester Andújar's fourth album, based on her own compositions, jazz, Brazilian and authorial music come together in her music. Her ability to perform in Valencian, English, Spanish and Portuguese highlights her global connection and vocal versatility. In this album, Ester explores her emotions in poetic compositions about the passing of time, everyday ecstasies and the indelible marks of love.
They have recorded with her on Inner Songs some of the best musicians from Valencia: Albert Palau on piano, Iván Cebrián on guitar, Miquel Álvarez on double bass, Tico Porcar on drums and saxophonist Javier Vercher as a guest artist.
“Ester is a singer-songwriter, jazz musician and global. (…) A poet, if I may be allowed to say the obvious. (…) and a “protest singer” emerging like an orchid in the mud (…).
Where others reject the genre, Ester asserts herself as a jazz singer, (…). This is 21st century jazz: serene, elegant, subtle... (some would say “minimalist”, I wouldn’t say). Ester opts for pure, crystalline beauty in a world that is neither pure nor crystalline, but corrupted and nebulous (…).”
